Boaz Samorai is a full time underwater explorer and photographer based in Eilat, Israel, on the shore of the Red Sea. Boaz is a PADI Course Director and Technical diver serving as a test diver for the company Fantasea, and as a dive tour leader, he has led various dive expeditions on a monthly basis around the world.
Boaz started shooting underwater at the age 15 on a school assignment for Biology class which he chose to do about his favorite spot – the underwater world. Soon it became his biggest passion, or even way of life. Living at Eilat, a beach city at the shores of the Red Sea, allows him to dive and teach underwater photography all year round, and leading dive expeditions put him at the best dive spots around the world such as: Socorro Mexico, Tubbataha Reef, Gardens of the Queen, Cuba, The Maldives, Palau, Red Sea Egypt, Malpelo Colombia, Bahamas, Cocos island and more.
Boaz says – “My biggest passion is showing the connection between the men and the Sea and its creatures that accept our presence and welcomes us to their habitat. I believe that us, the privileged people, who get to visit the underwater world, we have a mission to show the rest of the world the wonders that await below the surface, so we can appreciate, respect and protect this fragile environment.”
